About Elements Music and Arts Festival:
From an underground New York City music and arts event to a large-scale, multi-day camping festival, Elements Music and Arts festival has continued to capture hearts each August. Today, Elements finds its home at Pocono Raceway, or rather the forests that surround it, where one can find a plethora of genres under the EDM umbrella alongside live electronic, funk, and jam-inspired performances. In recent years, Elements has implemented the Art of Change initiative, which uses art, workshops and performances to highlight underrepresented communities. In 2023, Art of Change focused on the LGBTQIA+ community holding Pride parades through the campgrounds, raising money for The Trevor Project during drag brunch and hosting workshops on queer identity.
This year the Elements lineup features just 19% of women and queer artists, not even ⅕ of their lineup. As a festival born from bending the rules and shifting the community, Elements has the potential and platform to uplift underrepresented artists in more than these two categories. The culture and representation is shifting in our community as members come to understand that the dance floors and safe spaces we celebrate today were built by these marginalized communities.
Bass n Babes is a bass music collective that aims to uplift queer, femme, and underrepresented DJs/producers. By bringing queer and feminine energy to bass music culture, we push the scene forward and tap into talent that has historically been overlooked.
About the artists:
Kaleena Zanders
Being a black, queer artist in the edm world, Kaleena has fought to create a space where those like her can feel safe and free to find their flow on and off the dancefloor. Singing and music have always been in Kaleena's life shown to her by her grandmother, a choir leader, singer and pianist. She channels this generational love on the decks, singing through the mic or speaking to thousands under festival lights. Mixing the three together creates an extra level of connection that she spreads to all who get to hear her through her bold, soulful house music filled with inspiring vocals and fearless confidence. This year marks the release of her first debut album and tour, “Anything Goes” the later concluding in May. Her 2026 calendar not only included Northern Nights x Dirtybird, but also EDC Mexico, Electric Forest, Elements and Beyond Wonderland PNW.
