Babes of Bass Interview #28: Auracle

The second interview of Lightning in a Bottle 2026 is with Auracle. Auracle is a Los Angeles-based DJ, producer, and singer-songwriter known for her blend of ethereal fairy bass, 140 and experimental bass music. She has gained momentum in the bass scene with her EP Evoke, a tour with Smoakland, and performances at festivals like Same Same But Different, Bass Canyon, and Burning Man. She is also ½ of a duo called Two Girls One Laptop, performing as support for femme and queer artists around the US as well as releasing music on the Bass n Babes record label. Dive in with Auracle and Soosi during her interview at Lightning in a Bottle:

Soosi: What’s your artist name and how did you come up with it?

Auracle: I wanted something similar to Oracle but not spelled the normal O-R-A-C-L-E, so I was thinking aura-cle.

Soosi: How would you describe your flavor of bass?

Auracle: Anything that feels good in the body. Like as soon as it hits you know, like you can feel it. And a good sub!

Soosi: When did you realize you wanted to be a DJ and producer?

Auracle: I always wanted to be in music since I can remember. I just started with singing and playing guitar and this and that. I learned that you can make music in a DAW and DJ and it just kind of like progressed from there and I said I think I can do this.

Soosi: Who are some women who have inspired you on your artistic journey?

Auracle: CloZee. CloZee is my number one. I love everything she does such a sweetheart. She's very inspiring. I love her music too, her bass and her real flavor.

Soosi: What is your advice for aspiring femme and women producers?

Auracle: To not give up. If you haven't started then just start. Don't waste any time and never give up. There's so many resources out there like Patreon and other producers that are willing to teach you. You can have no musical background and you can learn so much off of Youtube. Go all in on it and just keep going and never give up. Things get hard, it gets really hard. There’s a lot of bumps in the road and the path is not linear, you’ll have some success and then you’ll have a lot of failure, but keep going.

Soosi: What is the most memorable rave trinket that someone has given you?

Auracle: Someone made a cuff, it was super sick, they put a lot of time into it, and I’m just blown away that someone did that! I still have it.
